Research semester, what is it?

Professors can take advantage of the research semester to devote themselves fully to research.

In addition to teaching and administrative tasks, there is often only a small window of time for research activities in everyday life. In the research semester, teaching and administrative tasks are redistributed for the period, so that the professor is released for research activities.

As a rule, eight teaching semesters must have passed between two research semesters of a professor at the university.
After the research semester, the professors resume their full duties.
